Convert Your Car to Burn Water - Increase Fuel Economy! by Alex Sol
I came across couple of videos on popular video sites and databases stating that you could use "Water Injection" in your car, and boost the fuel economy by 207% !
Here is a quote from the site: "We have developed devices that use a little electricity out of your car's battery, to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also called Brown's Gas or Hydroxy, burns beautifully and provides TONS of energy - while the end product is just WATER! Mobile Magazine says HHO provides the atomic power of Hydrogen, while maintaining the chemical stability of water."
The poorly designed engines of our cars only use 20% of the energy in gas... expensive gas. 80% of the energy is wasted on heat and pollution (unburned gas). As I am doing more research on the subject, it seems very possible to do so - or at least try. The site charges a small amount for the information - the good thing is they also offer 56 days full money back guarantee - so you have nothing to lose.
I will be trying this Convert Your Car To Burn Water method as soon as I get more free time, but converting my car to run on water and boost the fuel economy seems very interesting and promising.
For those interested in purchasing the system : It is for sale Here !

Convert you Car to run on WATER! 207% Fuel Economy by Alexandre Sol
Convert you Car to run on WATER! 207% Fuel Economy by Alexandre Sol
After watching the famous documentary "Who killed the electric car" I was very upset - such a great project, so much potential - yet another failure. I will not discuss the reasons of the failure, as they will vary a lot from one person to another. However, it is the time now to invent something else, something new, a new source of energy for our cars.
Current gas price scares many of us - yet we keep on driving, not asking any questions. At the same time, there are people who push for the fuel economy with all their force, people invent, try, fail then invent from scratch. Recently I was watching Fox News and saw a report on a car that runs on water.
Is this possible?
The creator claims that his developed invention converts water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). Also called Brown's gas or Hydroxy burns better than regular gas at our fuel pumps and provides more energy. Some developers of this system which is now available for sale at a very low price claim that our engines are very poorly designed and only use 20% of the gas. The other 80% is wasted on heating, pollution (unburned gas). If we count the gas price as $3 per gallon - we actually use 60 cents of it and waste $2.4 per each gallon. This system is believed to boost the fuel economy of any car up to 207%! The system is a simple add-on to a car and you can install it by yourself. It is very simple to put it on or take it off - without any trace. This system saves you over 1200$ a year reduce the pollution and your engine will work quietly. Five minutes of maintenance is required weekly - a simple check-up to make sure everything is well.
I have not tried it myself because the car I currently drive is owned by my company, consequently the gas is paid for but when I get my own car I will make sure I use this little update to save me some money and to save us the Earth!

On the Horizon: Future Fuels by Levi Quinn
On the Horizon: Future Fuels by Levi Quinn
Between elevated gasoline prices (which show every indication of staying that way) and the current concern about the environmental impacts of vehicle emissions, you've probably been hearing a lot of discussion about the use of "alternative fuels." It sounds like a good idea, you think...but do you know what alternative fuels are actually in the running? Here's the shortlist of the alternative fuels to keep an eye on, and a major advantage and disadvantage for each:
Electric
Electricity is a source of power that we already produce, store, and use. To power an electric vehicle (EV), electricity is produced by a power plant or other standard means and is then stored in the battery that will operate the vehicle. Pro: A vehicle powered solely by electricity produces no emissions. Con: In current models, batteries need to be recharged frequently.
Biodiesel
Biodiesel is a fuel that is made from vegetable oils and animal fats through a chemical process called esterification. When the oils and fats are mixed with alcohol, their molecules break down into methylesters, which are then used as fuel, and a waste product of glycerin. It can be used in some diesel vehicles with very little, if any, modification to the existing engine. Pro: Potential fuel sources vary from grain crops to used cooking grease. Con: Biodiesel thickens and freezes at low temperatures.
Ethanol
Ethanol is a type of alcohol that is created through the fermentation of substances with high starch or sugar contents, such as corn or sugar cane. In this process, yeast bacteria consume the sugars and starches and produce carbon dioxide and ethanol as by-products. The use of chemical catalysts can be used to make the process faster and more productive. Pro: Ethanol can be produced from renewable agricultural resources. Con: Contains less energy than the same amount of gasoline.
Hydrogen Fuel Cells
Hydrogen fuels cells harness the electrochemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. The bonding of hydrogen and oxygen atoms results in two products: energy, which is then stored as power in the cell, and--you guessed it: water. Pro: Hydrogen engines are typically more efficient than gasoline engines. Con: Current vehicle designs can only store enough hydrogen for short-range travel.
At first, you'll most likely see these fuels used in combination with current gasoline-engine technology. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) utilize both a standard gasoline engine and a rechargeable battery, and are already offered by several car manufacturers. Hybrid vehicles with a gasoline engine and a hydrogen fuel cell are currently in development, and are estimated to hit the market in 2008 to 2009. Vehicles that are designed or modified to run on mixtures of gasoline and biodiesel or ethanol show promise, and are already in use.
While some types of alternative-fuel vehicles aren't yet readily available to the public, keep your eyes open--a combination of research, public encouragement, and lively market competition brings that day ever closer. Honda and Toyota, the first automotive manufacturers to market HEVs in the United States, have already been joined by a handful of others...and the rest are likely to follow suit.

Energy Independence Now by Michael Skinner
Almost all wars and terrorism in the world can be stopped. Almost all dictators and tyrants can be rendered powerless. All we have to do is to stop paying them. An alarming amount of the money Western nations pay for oil is going into the coffers of people who terrorists and dictators. All we have to do defund the world's most violent criminals is to become energy independent.
In the first phase of energy independence we get as much energy as possible from resources which we own or which are in the hands of friendly, stable nations. First we build new nuclear power plants in every state. If the French can make nuclear work what excuse do we have? In addition, we drill for oil off all our coastal waters and we build new refineries and pipelines in every state. Existing energy companies are making plenty of money in the current climate of false scarcity. We will have to find away around them. Usually way around greedy energy companies would require political will. However, almost all existing politicians are in the pocket of the energy companies. This includes democrats and republicans. So every politician currently in office needs to be thrown out. Anyone who works for or who owns an existing conventional energy company is in my view disqualified for public office. We already know from the Bush/Cheney experience that such politicians will work in a way contrary to the national security of the United States and will start pointless wars for oil.
Merely having new politicians willing to clear the legal minefields laid down by oil bought senators and congressmen might not be enough. We might have to get a little bolder. Therefore I suggest that we build terawatts of new nuclear power plans and miles of new oil refineries in Mexico and that we send the power back to the states via pipelines, power lines, hydrogen, or whatever works. This will provide work for Mexicans and energy for us. The Mexican government will have a large incentive to make the plants secure and this increased security might even spill over to the borders and make our borders more secure.
While phase one is going on we need to start on phase 2. In this phase we bring online as many green and renewable technologies as are currently viable and put as much money as is needed into producing more. I would suggest that the model cities be built in the west and south--anywhere that it does not get cold enough to snow. The idea is to build small towns or cities that will go cold turkey. There will be no fossil fuels of any kind allowed in these cities. All vehicles and houses will be powered by wind, solar and bio-mass. The best locations would be those that have year around wind, sun and enough farming in the area to produce the bio mass. These experimental towns would be off the power grid. The only way to get power to them would be to make the green and renewable technologies work. Volunteers who truly believe that the future is green would be invited to apply for residency. We would probably take engineers and farmers over other types because we would need people who were skilled in keeping the power conversion machinery going and others who don't mind the get your hand dirty hard work of farming.

How To Save Gas Cost By Running Your Car or Truck On Water
Article Summary: This article looks at the claims of running your car on 100% water and tells you if it's really possible or not.
When you look closely at such 100% water driven technology, one ends up spending even more than using the usual fuel for powering vehicles.
So, the method I recommend for powering your car with water that will save you cost of fuel is to make your own low-cost hybrid car that will run on water and gas, thereby saving you huge costs you would have spent using only gas.
In other words - Hydrogen-On-Demand system where you run your car on Hydrogen WHEN you need it!
Note that I am not saying you should build a car from scratch that will run on water. Not at all. This instead is about constructing simple devices that will enable your car to run on water as well as gas. You don't have to alter your car make-up or get a new car. The technology can work with almost any car or truck.
In simple words, this technology involves putting together home-made devices that use a little electricity out of your car's battery to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also known as Brown's Gas or Hydroxy, burns beautifully and by so doing provides TONS of energy.
And the most remarkable beauty is that this pound for pound HHO gas is even much more potent than gasoline. In fact 3 times more potent than gasoline.
By using such cars you effectively save money that would have been spent on fuel for your car. It is estimated that this could save you as much as $897.40 per year. If you are two, three or four drivers in the family, this yearly savings increases dramatically. And what if you have a fleet of 50 drivers in your company? Then your yearly savings will multiply to $44,870.
First things first... this isn't about running your car on 100% water. Of course there are information available about running your car on 100% water but I don't recommend them because they are not only complicated but seriously expensive and completely unpredictable.

The Mercury Hybrid: Protect The Future by Ernest Jarquio
The Mercury Hybrid: Protect The Future by Ernest Jarquio
Ford is trying to catch up with the world's expanding hybrid car market as it takes its hybrid car technology research seriously and schedule the launch of more Ford hybrid cars in 2008.
Ford Airstream Concept
Together with travel trailers innovator Airstream, Ford has designed its Space Age vehicle using the HySeries Drive system. The system uses a 336 volt lithium ion battery to generate power to sustain a Ford Airstream for its initial 25 miles.
Ford Airstream is trying to pair its lithium-ion batteries with hydrogen fuel cells, giving it sufficient wattage to run the electric motor. The result is 305 miles of travel, much more than the 280 miles you get if running on hydrogen fuel cells alone.
Part of the costs in developing the HySeries Drive with Airstream was shouldered by the US Department of Energy. Ford also paired with Ballard, a Canadian company who makes the fuel cells for Ford hybrid cars. These partnerships are being undertaken to meet an expected demand of 3 million Ford hybrid cars by 2010.
A new Ford Fusion Hybrid to be released in 2008
It would have been named Futura, if not for a lawsuit filed by Pep Boys, an auto parts shop. Thus, Ford decided to call its latest hybrid entry Ford Fusion Hybrid after a midsize car popular in North America.
Fusion Hybrid will be the fourth among Ford hybrid cars already out in the market. Its predecessors include Mercury Mariner Hybrid, Ford Escape Hybrid, and Mazda Tribute Hybrid.
Fusion Hybrid 2008 will maintain the PZEV (Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle) rating of the 4-cylinder 2006 Fusion. It will have a 2.3 liter engine which can generate 160 horsepower allowing you to drive at 30 mpg in highway conditions.
